Embracing the New Curriculum

At Holy Cross Lake View Senior Secondary School, we are proud to fully embrace the New Curriculum, designed to nurture holistic development and equip students with practical skills for the 21st century.

Core Subjects for Senior One and Two

Students are required to study the following compulsory subjects:

  • English Language
  • History and Political Education
  • Geography
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Entrepreneurship Education
  • Biology
  • Kiswahili
  • Physical Education

Elective Subjects for Senior One and Two

In addition to the core subjects, students may choose from the following electives:

  • Agriculture
  • Literature in English
  • Fine Art
  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
  • Nutrition and Food Technology

Orientation Program

When students join Senior One, they participate in a comprehensive orientation program:

  • Week 1: Students explore all elective subjects and learn about their relevance.
  • Parent Orientation: Parents are invited for a one-day session to understand the curriculum and guide their children in elective subject selection.
  • Selection Process: A structured form is issued to help families finalize elective subject choices.
