The wait is finally over! On February 1, 2025, our dedicated staff joyfully welcomed back our leaners after a refreshing two-month holiday. The campus buzzed with energy and enthusiasm as students returned, ready to embark on a new academic year and term in the Jubilee year of the Church. This means a time of joy academic excellence, good discipline, co- and extracurricular activities guided by hope according to the academic office.

By 8:00 AM, the school gates were filled with smiling faces, as delighted students arrived alongside their parents and guardians, who assisted them in completing the necessary school registration and clearance processes. This vital step ensures that every student can enjoy a safe and supportive environment throughout their time at school. Our dedicated staff members greeted everyone with warmth and enthusiasm, with regard to our institution’s unwavering commitment to providing wholistic education, excellent care and support all in our Holy Cross Lake View community.
In the same regard, we are pleased that the school administration announced its commitment to the safety of learners who come from far by providing transportation services for them. Reliable sources told the school news desk that designated pick-up points in Kampala and Mbale, were set up for our students from the Kampala route who arrived safely at school by 3 PM, while our Mbale students will be welcomed today 2nd Feb 2025. This well-organized system guarantees that all students who commute from far have a secure journey to and from school.
From the head teacher’s office, this year, the school as adopted an inspiring theme “I am a changemaker,” reflecting our commitment to nurturing and empowering our students to become the best versions of themselves. We strive to instill in them the values and skills necessary to create a positive impact in their school, communities, families and beyond. From our Holy Cross Family Catholic heritage, we shall unite with the church as pilgrims of hope. Where the school opening Mass will honor our Holy Cross educators on the day of consecrated life: when reached for a word our school chaplain Rev. Fr. Douglas Alinaitwe, C.S.C. said:
The World Day for Consecrated Life, celebrated today, 2 February, invites us to reflect on the Jubilee Year 2025 theme: Pilgrims of Hope. This special occasion calls us as consecrated educators in the faith to embody hope, much like St. André Bessette, the first saint of our Congregation of Holy Cross.
His life inspires faith, humility of heart, and service, offering a powerful example for all and so as Holy Cross religious working in the school we hope to be at our best in journeying with our students and sharing with them God’s love working in collaboration with other offices like the counselling office and faith clubs like Samaritan club and the many others.
The school administration extends its heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed parents for their unwavering support, care, and guidance rendered to our students during the holiday season. Their involvement in their children’s education is invaluable, and it strengthens the bond within our school community.
As we embark on this new term, we eagerly anticipate a year filled with exploration, growth, and achievement. With the continued collaboration of governing bodies, parents, teachers, staff, and student leaders, we are confident that our students will flourish and reach their full potential. Here’s to an outstanding academic year ahead at Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S!

Children are lucky to study in this conducive and well kept environment. Best wishes to students and staff
The reporting event was so exciting to me, being the first of the kind. I felt so much touched by the enthusiasm expressed by the school staff members, together with school administrators, in welcoming the learners back to action. I really feel motivated to do my best in doing my Job more of a service. “Team work will indeed lead to Education for service. “
Miss you lavisco
