Rev. Fr. Prosper Atukwatse, C.S.C., is a visionary educator and spiritual leader dedicated to the Holy Cross charism of "Educators in Faith." With a passion for innovation and academic excellence, Fr. Prosper leads Holy Cross Lake View SSS with a clear vision: to transform the school into Uganda's premier Science Centre. Under his leadership, the school has expanded its science infrastructure, fostered innovation among students, and earned recognition at national exhibitions.
A Message from the Headteacher
Dear people of God, I warmly welcome you to Holy Cross Lake View Senior Secondary School — a home far away from home. We are the leading centre of excellence, innovation and creativity. Allow me to share with you all our dear readers about the dream of making Holy Cross Lake View a "Centre for Science in Uganda."
The founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Blessed Basil Moreau C.S.C., emphasized the idea of looking into the signs of the time. Our signs of the time are that the world has gone science and therefore, our noble task is to lead all other schools in Uganda into meaningful exploration of innovative science. We are already blessed that the National offices of Association of Biology Educators (ABE) are located at Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S. This year our students participated in the exhibition of Oil and Gas EXPO, being the only secondary school to participate in such an exhibition while other participants were university students.
Through the New Lower Secondary Competence Based Curriculum, our learners have been able to come up with very good projects under the Faculty of Science. Our students excelled in the recent National Agriculture Study Show at Jinja Show Grounds where they exhibited X-Caliber, Smart Dustbin, Smart Calculator, Solar Concentrator, Vacuum Cleaner, Organic Plant Soup and Modern Mushroom Growing. What I can assure you is that this is the beginning as we begin unveiling all the best innovations.
Holy Cross Lake View Senior Secondary School offers a holistic education, whereby we educate the mind, heart and body. Our Blessed Founder insisted that, "The mind shall not be cultivated at the expense of the heart." The office of the Campus Faith (Chaplaincy) plays a vital role. Every learner must be involved in at least one sporting game, one club in school and all school programs are compulsory for all learners. With all these benefits, one cannot fail but to choose Holy Cross Lake View as the best school for one's dear child.

The Upcoming Science Centre for Uganda
Our dream of making Holy Cross Lake View a centre or base for science is possible because the school has all it takes to make it happen. The school has eight (8) science laboratories that are well stocked and each laboratory can accommodate at least one hundred students at once. The school also has the best teachers in both the fields of Science and Arts — the best teacher you would admire to teach your child can only be found at Holy Cross Lake View.
