Holy Cross Lake View SSS follows the Uganda National Curriculum for both O-Level and A-Level, enhanced by the Holy Cross tradition of educating the whole person. Our competence-based curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and practical application of knowledge.
Students study a broad range of subjects designed to build a strong foundation across disciplines. Core subjects include Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies, complemented by practical and vocational subjects.
Students specialize in three subjects plus General Paper, choosing from Sciences, Arts, or Business combinations tailored to their career aspirations.
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture — equipped with 8 modern laboratories fostering hands-on scientific inquiry and innovation.
English, Literature, French, and Local Languages — developing communication skills and literary appreciation.
Pure Mathematics, Additional Mathematics — building analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
History, Geography, Divinity, Fine Art — exploring human society, culture, and ethical formation.
Economics, Commerce, Accounting — preparing students for careers in business and finance.
ICT, Programming, Digital Literacy — equipping students with 21st-century technological skills.
Holy Cross Lake View is proud to be the upcoming Science Centre for Uganda. The school boasts eight (8) well-stocked science laboratories, each capable of accommodating up to 100 students at once. The National offices of the Association of Biology Educators (ABE) are located at our school.
Our students have excelled in national exhibitions, including the Oil and Gas EXPO — where we were the only secondary school participating — and the National Agriculture Study Show at Jinja Show Grounds, where they exhibited innovative projects including X-Caliber, Smart Dustbin, Smart Calculator, Solar Concentrator, Vacuum Cleaner, Organic Plant Soup, and Modern Mushroom Growing.
Holy Cross Lake View SSS consistently ranks among Uganda's top secondary schools, with outstanding performance in both UCE and UACE examinations. Our students earn distinctions and university scholarships year after year.
The school actively advocates for the Moreau Scholarship Scheme, facilitating scholarships for students to study internationally, breaking financial barriers and fostering a global perspective for well-rounded individuals.
