Cross Country Thrives at Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S.

The day began with a prayer, followed by the girls’ 9 km race, which commenced at 7 am. The Chief Runner of the day, Mr. Bright John, Deputy Headteacher in charge of Academics, gave crucial instructions to guide the students during the run.

After the girls’ race, the boys were flagged off for their 18 km run. Despite the rain, all participants completed the course. Lutaaya House emerged as the overall winner of the Cross-Country competition after combining the girls’ and boys’ scores. This was followed by Lwanga, Hesse, Kabalega, McD and Safari in that order.

Despite the rain, the boys bravely set off on their 18 km run—and every participant crossed the finish line.

The school appreciates the efforts of patrons, chaperones, and club members who contributed to the event’s success. The Cross-Country program at Holy Cross Lake View S.S.S is designed to shape well-rounded individuals with essential skills, leadership, teamwork, communication, confidence, and character. By emphasizing physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth, the school invests in the future of its students.

Congratulations to all participants on a job well done.
